I thought these images were a fun pairing: a drawing from my Fantastic Jobs series and a recent article in Seattle met, where I've become the bartender I drew 2 years ago.

Here are a few I came up with recently after stopping by Clear Creek Distillary in PDX and tasting their delicious grappa, brandy, and single malt whiskey. I'm also working on one with Rye and Ramazzotti ~ the Ramatoddy ~ which I'll post once I get the recipe right.

I just came across my old Soundcloud account I forgot about and stumbled across recordings from a band I was in called Trieste with Preston Hillman and Benny Phanichkul. I played bass and sang (like Sting in the Police!) but hadn't discovered how to really sing yet, but I really like the musical arrangement of this track. It has the first inklings of Preston's Yamaha analogue monophonic synthesizer and vocal loopings that would eventually lead into Tumble Dry.

When I saw Lidell in PDX I was really wondering what he was doing up at the table of his, this is, I suppose, a glimpse. Oh my goodness, so good.

I've been thinking a lot about Paul Klee, and Kandinsky and they ways in which a painting can evoke or synthesize with music, and this painting by Tasha Amini really struck me today. I like that it is both figurative and abstract while capturing a kind of movement evoking sound and light.

I stumbled across this digital composition made of scanned drawings I made. Its a sort of mash-up industrial landscape of downtown seattle.

Also, I've added a new page of cartoons that I plan to update as I find and make more.

Been really into Cynar apparently. This was an attempt to make a warmer flavored more accessible cocktail. It's reminiscent of the brown derby #2, with a more caramel and agave tone.
